Triple-Seater Ride Turns Fatal: 18-Year-Old Dies in Uran Accident

Navi Mumbai, Jasai Bridge, Uran: An 18-year-old biker, Aayan Aafan Nerekar, tragically lost his life after crashing into a dumper truck on Jasai Bridge, near Uran, on Friday. Riding triple-seat with college friends Shruti Chaudhary and Gautam Mrugan, both 18, Nerekar reportedly lost control, causing the bike to ram into the truck ahead.

Shruti and Gautam sustained minor injuries and are now in stable condition. Police stated that the three were riding against traffic rules by traveling triple-seat.

Aayan was rushed to MGM Hospital in Vashi with severe head and body injuries. Despite multiple surgeries, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday at 7:12 am.

Senior Inspector Jitendra Misal from Uran police noted that the dumper driver might not be at fault, pending a review of CCTV footage and statements from the injured. Speeding and other contributing factors are under investigation.

This incident highlights the deadly risks of reckless riding and traffic violations.
