Western Railway Announces Night Block Between Mumbai Central and Mahim on July 5-6; No Day Block on Sunday

Mumbai, July 4 – The Western Railway (WR) has announced a night block between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations for essential maintenance work on the intervening night of Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, 2025. The block will be in effect from 12:15 AM to 4:15 AM to facilitate upkeep of tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment.

According to a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, the maintenance work will be conducted on the UP and DOWN fast lines during the specified period.

During the block hours, all fast line suburban trains will be diverted to run on slow lines between Santacruz and Churchgate. Passengers are advised to check train timings and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

The Western Railway has also confirmed that there will be no daytime block on the suburban section on Sunday, July 6, ensuring uninterrupted local train services throughout the day.

The scheduled maintenance work is part of WR's ongoing efforts to enhance safety and reliability on the suburban network, which caters to millions of daily commuters.

Passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway authorities during the night block and stay updated through official WR communication channels for any further announcements.
