Navi Mumbai Man Fleeing After Drug-Related Arrest of Foreign Tenants

Thane, Maharashtra: A 56-year-old man from Navi Mumbai, Keshav Kadu, has gone into hiding after his foreign tenants were arrested in Thane for possessing drugs. Kadu had rented out his property to the individuals, who were detained by police for illegal substances. Authorities later brought Kadu in for questioning but he fled before his arrest.

Police stated that Kadu had not informed them of his tenants' foreign nationality, violating local property rental laws. Under the Foreigners' Act, landlords must register foreign tenants with local authorities, and failure to do so can result in legal charges. Kadu now faces potential violations under the Foreigners' Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which could lead to severe penalties.

Authorities are actively searching for Kadu, with assurances that his arrest is imminent. The investigation into the drug case continues, with more details expected soon.
